There is no doubt Ghana and Africa as a whole have been blessed with two great talents in Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale with each of them having great international recognitions.
These two are the biggest dancehall artistes in Ghana and Africa with solid fanbases.
Stonebwoy recently released his first song in 2021 which he titled “1GAD” with many people saying he copied Shatta Wale after the latter released his “1Don”, all of which were in the form of dancehall genre.
Now, there’s this video sighted by benonyx.com on Facebook in which a Jamaican was downplaying the impact of our dancehall acts, casting doubts on whether these acts are actually doing dancehall.
He claimed, “Only God knows what Stonebwoy sings about”.
Is the man right to say this? He made this with reference to the language used by Stonebwoy and other Africa dancehall acts in their songs.
But does the dancehall genre only has to be in 100% patois?
Well, we don’t side with him and we know Stonebwoy does great dancehall music.
