23-year-old popular Kumasi Sakawa boy identified as Akwasi Boakye, a Kronum Aboahia resident, a suburb in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region has met his untimely death hours after buying a brand new Range Rover.
His death has come as a shock to many according to the circumstance leading to his death.
Per the report filed by an Angel FM journalist in Kumasi, Akwasi Boakye went out to buy a brand new Range Rover and brought it home together with his friend who resides within his rented apartment.
According to the narration by the friend who’s now on the run, Akwasi Boakye received a call from an unknown number around 2 am to cover his newly bought whip with what he has used to cover his old car.
The friend continued that he heard several gunshots the moment Akwasi Boakye stepped outside to do as the unknown caller asked him.
It was at this point that he realised Akwasi Boakye had been shot by unknown assailants. He continued that while Akwasi Boakye struggled to run away from his killer into his room, he was shot again in the neck.
Though he managed to enter his room, it was too late for him as he gave up the ghost. When Police arrived at the scene, Akwasi Boakye was found lying dead in a pool of blood.
In the report, Akwasi Boakye’s father confirmed to Angel News that indeed his son is into internet fraud and moved put to rent his own apartment not long ago.
