The 2020/2021 SRC executives at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale sent shivers down the spine of the average Ghanaian after it allegedly constructed a student bus terminal for the school as their tenure of office comes to an end at a whopping cost of Ghc63,147,62.
According to budget expenditure that went viral on the internet, the SRC used that amount to construct a shed and a bench for students.
Several students and experts who sighted a picture of the project which is painted green and white with SRC/NUGS 2020/2021 embossed on it could not hide their shock about the cost.
Some persons who say they have knowledge of the project claim the project should have cost less than Ghc7000 since it is made of wood and metal fabrications with the floor thinly cemented.
The SRC executives have finally reacted to this disturbing news and according to them, the circulating news is a fat lie.
According to them, they had no hand in the construction of the bus terminal hence SRC/NUGS leadership didn’t inflate any figures as earlier reported.
