Celebrated Ghanaian rap virtuoso who performs under the stage name Sarkodie has thrown his unflinching weight behind the popular #Fixthecountry agenda that has been making waves since January this year.
According to the “Gboza” hitmaker and rap maestro, the #Fixyourself agenda is trash, pointless and needless because once the system is fixed – The citizens will unconsciously fix themselves.
He further went on to suggest that if our leaders will maintain their grounds and ensure that those who break the law face the full weight of their consequences, the country will be fixed in the long run and #Fixthecountry and #Fixyourself brouhaha will be a thing of the past.
In the course of an on-air radio discussion with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM this morning, he said;
Let’s fix the country first. After that, the people will have no excuse to cut corners – the people will fix themselves
Meanwhile, Assin Central MP and NPP’s chief scribe Kennedy Agyapong, as well as Abronye DC, have also expressed their disappointment in the conveners of the #Fixthecountry crusade with the strong notion that citizens need to first fix themselves before they cry about leaders fixing the country.
Shatta Wale sometime ago also took to his Facebook page to insult members of the #Fixthecountry crusade.
In other news, the #Fixthecountry demo will come off this Wednesday, 4th August 2021.
